Right Time, Right Love
A story of two hearts who found healing in each other when the world said it was the wrong moment.
This poem is dedicated to the man who changed the direction of my life.
We met when neither of us were ready for love, yet somehow we became exactly what the other needed. You saved me in ways words struggle to explain, and in loving you I found the strength to heal too. I know our story was never about bad timing. It was about two souls meant to meet, grow, and choose each other forever.
We met at a moment
life had not yet softened for us.
Two hearts carrying quiet battles,
two souls walking through storms
that no one else could see.
It was the wrong time,
the kind of time that makes love hesitate,
the kind that asks people to walk away.
But we didn’t.
You found me when I was learning
how to breathe again.
Your kindness spoke gently
to every broken place inside me.
You did not try to fix my past,
you simply stood beside me
until I remembered my strength.
And somewhere along the way
our healing became shared.
You saved me in ways
the world will never fully understand.
Through patience.
Through laughter.
Through the quiet promise in your eyes
that I was never alone again.
But love like ours
was never meant to be a one sided miracle.
Because in loving you
I saw the pieces of your heart
that had been fighting silently too.
And without realizing it
we began to lift each other.
You saved me.
And I saved you.
What once felt like the wrong time
slowly became the right story.
Now when I look at you
I do not see coincidence.
I see destiny written softly
between every moment we have shared.
You are my calm
after every storm life has thrown at me.
The man who turned survival
into something that finally feels like living.
My perfect man.
My greatest blessing.
My forever.
And now I know something beautiful.
I will never have to imagine a life without you
because the day you asked me to be yours forever
was the day the universe answered
every prayer my heart had ever whispered.

Every poem I write grows from places I’ve once stood pain, reflection, forgiveness, and growth. Writing turns those moments into meaning. If my words make you feel deeply, they’ve done what they were meant to do.
