I abruptly wake up at a quarter to two,

From the sound of snow hitting my window with a crackling sound,

I lookout side the wind is blowing so violently

The trees are shaking with such force

My roof starts to shake as if it’s going to come tumbling off from the force of the wind

The light shining outside with a hint of snow falling down

This is what I get woken up to on this Sunday morning

The howling wind singing to me

It’s just a few days until spring and we’re finally getting the moisture we need

After days, weeks, and months of no signs of it at all

Mother Nature finally brought us this gift here on earth that was much needed to save it from burning down

About the Creator

Jennifer lindquist

I’ve always had a interest in poetry since I took a creative writing class in high school. Writing poetry is my safe place where I can either get positive or sometimes negative energy out by my writing of poetry.
