Stranger

But Really, Who Isn't?

Such a stranger in the crowd

To those that I'm around

I don't hide but still they don't see me

They think they do

Based on one or two

Situations they used to peg me

Patience is lacking

And people are slacking

When trying to understand the entire picture

Then they are surprised

When right before their eyes

They see an unexpected trait in the mixture

Softly misunderstood

Can be a lonely place to be

But it allows me to stand back and observe

Once in a while

Someone will smile
