Humans can be delusional—
narcissistic and harbor grandiosity.
I may say, I’m important,
while I may not be.
As psychiatrist Carl Jung said:
“You are not what you say you will do,
you are what you do.”
I agree, fully.
We leave trails of our true selves
as we live our lives.
My Amazon shopping list,
my paid subscriptions,
the state of my house,
the topics I write on,
the apps I have on my smartphone,
the profiles I follow on Instagram,
my YouTube watchlist,
they all give clues, they tell it all,
loud and clear,
who I really am,
what’s going on in my subconscious?
