Where Life Abides
A Testament to the Living World

How brief and yet how sovereign is our stay
upon this turning earth,
where mortal creatures rise at golden dawn
and marvel at abundance everywhere.
──⊱❉⊰ ──
Each season bears its testament,
a glory written across Nature’s face,
crows calling out above the spring fields,
hawks lifting easily into the boundless sky.
──⊱❉⊰ ──
Old sorrow and young joy walk side by side,
companions on the same unending road,
and grief, that dark and ancient visitor,
runs deepest where devotion once was strong.
──⊱❉⊰ ──
A child laughs bright beside a small creek,
a widow wanders slowly with her book,
within both lies a profound, unscripted marvel,
that luminous and undying hidden flame.
──⊱❉⊰ ──
So let us pass through our allotted years
with wonder more than stubborn resistance,
for life was never a riddle to be solved,
but beauty moving quietly through us.
──⊱❉⊰ ──
Like late day light across the open fields,
it touches, warms, and slowly fades from view,
yet we have stood upon the breathing earth,
and loved, and grieved, and risen once anew.
