When you read my words they may not be perfect but I hope they:
1. Engage you
2. Entertain you
3. At least make you smile (Omar's Diaries) or
4. Think about this crazy world we live in and
5. Never accept anything at face value

Izzie & Lyrie
This is the first in a series of interviews with riders and their horses. We first met Izzie in May 2018 at the yard where we have our three horses on livery and have watched her work with Lyrie over the last 12 months. During that time we have seen their relationship grow. We have seen waved her off to competitions and seen her come back. Most times these excursions have been successful. On the few that haven't been so successful, Izzie still manages to find something positive from the experience and keeps smiling through it all.

Omar's Diary to May 11, 2019
To date I am most disappointed with 10 Downing Street. At the beginning of April, I wrote a personal letter to the Prime Minister expressing two of my current concerns. My main concern is with this process called BREXIT, which seems to be sucking the threads of decency, politeness, and tolerance from the now polarized world of servants living here in Britain.

Benney, Bryn, and Rainbow
Arrival and Settling In There is always a moment of slight trepidation when you drop the ramp at the back of the lorry to see how your horse travelled. Are they a frothing wild-eyed beast about to burst through the partitions? Are they still standing? Are they still in one piece?

Rainbow
Rainbow is a true veteran. We have had her in our family of ponies and horses for at least 29 of her 31 years. By age alone, she really does qualify as a veteran. She has hunted, shown at a high level, competed at dressage, hacked out, and survived a near fatal attack of the dreaded laminitis. Full marks to her for her stoicism while in great pain and having an enduring will to survive.

Christ Church Classic Car Show
This classic car show was held on the lawns of Christchurch Quay, Christchurch in Southern England. The number of visitors was not known, as entry to the show was free. However, the organizers (Classic Cars on The Prom 2019) estimated that some 380 classic vehicles took part. The only qualification for displaying at this show was any vehicle that was manufactured before 31st July 1983.

Benney's Diary April 13th and 14th, 2019
For those of you who do not know Benney he is the youngest of our three horses. He is a seven year old New Forest gelding with an enthusiastic love of life and boundless energy. He is a pocket rocket. A mini racehorse. He is intelligent and needs to be kept busy. He is not a ride for a passengers and draws down on all my riding experience from Welsh Section D’s to racehorses.
