We spend so much time Thinking of clever ways to Avoid real thinking
If tomorrow starts without me It will be what I have sought: A world that I owe nothing Where I will quietly rot
Given what we could Be doing with our brief lives How was this Thursday?
Glib, irresponsible but successful A virtuoso at delegation Smoothly combed, mischievously powerful Fit to rule a tribe or corporation
What would it mean to Grow the ruler in order To shrink the distance? * Modify the means Of measuring the vastness Contract the cosmos
After the death of my father Before the world became illegible Convinced that the pain was selfish, small, childish Determined to explain it nonetheless
What if heaven and Hell are run by the human Resources people?
