Embarrassment
And all that S*&!
Embarrassment. Funny thing is embarrassment as I look back at the things that I have once done and remember at the time I felt mortified that they had happened and I wouldn’t talk about them or try to think about them but if those situations were to happen to me now, I don’t think I would b that bothered by it… well, at least not AS bothered as I was back then.

That Time I Tried To Tell My Crush I Liked Him...
Behold, a tale set in the land of end-of-teenage cringe. I was 19 years old at the time, and for years afterwards, if anyone even said the word "cringe" I would remember this happening, and desperately wish to fling myself into the abyss.

A First Date to Remember
It was the summer of 2010; I was recently single after a long relationship with my ex-fiancée and another short-rebound fling. I swore I was going to stay away from men and the dating scene and concentrate on me for a while (you know that saying that everyone uses after a devastating breakup). But low and behold, I had a date. And he was meeting me at my apartment for drinks before dinner. I was nervous, excited and giddy all at the same time.

A Boy in a Sailor Suit
I suppose it was really my mother Dorothy’s embarrassment rather than mine, given that I was probably too young to feel that way at the time. But, given that I remember it so vividly after all these years, maybe that was the first occasion – out of so many since! – when the spark of embarrassment was kindled in me.

Some Laugh-Out-Loud-Inducing Situations
Hilarious Fall on Treadmill If this hasn't occurred to you while stumbling on a treadmill, consider yourself lucky. This is not only frightening, but it is also painful for your body and personality. You're running for one second when you look down and realize you're further back than you thought. The machine's speed is unnecessarily fast for your methods, and you're unexpectedly pounded against a hot, moving vehicle line that throws you off like a humiliating ride on Aladdin's divination cover mixed with a mechanical bull.

The Art of Mistaking Identity
The heavens had opened up, torrential rain pounding against my windscreen with relentless purpose. Peering gingerly through my drivers side window, the massive dark grey clouds and the menacing rumblings of thunder created a slight anxiety at having to drive to work that morning. Armed with only an umbrella, I had already received a soaking, as I bolted from the front door of our apartment to my car, fumbling with keys and central locking. Rain swept sideways, slicking my hair to my head on one side and no doubt washing away whatever makeup I had applied earlier.

Regret Me Not
Everybody has a memory of the most humiliating time they have ever had, even though they often ignore those experiences. In either case, who in their right mind would choose to recall the embarrassment they endured? My most humiliating day had turned my high school experience into a terrifying experience at one time. When I think back in nostalgic memories, and feel it was yet another weird experience that could have occurred to anybody. It was also very impactful in my life and learning experience that keeps popping back to my life, giving me some chills every time I recall it.
