Everyone has heard of Ted Bundy, Aileen Wuornos, and Jeffrey Dahmer, but they are not the only serial killers in the world or even in the United States. There are hundreds of serial killers you've never even heard of and the reason why is mostly that they are not shocking enough or prolific enough. Many happened before the media became so connected and ingrained in our daily lives. And many others that operate even today cross jurisdictions, state lines, and even country boundaries to commit and conceal their crimes. The show takes us inside the FBI, where we follow a group of elite criminal profilers throughout their professional and personal lives. Since they deal with serial killers and other heinous crimes, the show is not short on disturbing moments. The BAU profiles serial killers in hopes of anticipating their next move, and getting inside the criminal mind is a major factor behind the shows success.

How To Survive a Kidnapper or Mugger Situation
So I haven’t written anything in a while because of personal things going on in my life. There is something that hits very close to home that I feel I should write about. My cousin was recently attacked on a Manhattan subway and is currently in a coma with possibly lasting brain damage. Also, I have personal experience regarding this topic, and I feel that people should be more educated in what they need to do in regards to self-defense in the event that a mugger comes in contact with them or they are taken against their will. In my cousin’s case it was a mugger, which also happened at a store I worked at a few years back when a gunman came in to rob the joint.

The United States justice system is divided into two separate realms: civil law and criminal law. Civil law is considerably less serious, and it usually comes down to two parties against each other, with one party claiming the wrongdoing of the other and wanting compensation. These won't result in any jail time, but the grievances can range from petty to serious. Now, we come to the question with much more severe implications: what is criminal law?
