The world of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba is built on brutal battles between humanity and demons that grow stronger with every drop of blood from their master. Throughout the series, demon slayers train relentlessly to master powerful breathing styles, while demons evolve terrifying abilities that make them nearly impossible to kill.

As the story progresses through major arcs like the Mugen Train incident and the increasingly intense battles leading into the Infinity Castle conflict, the scale of power rises dramatically. Hashira clash with Upper Rank demons, new techniques are unlocked, and the strongest characters in the series begin to reveal just how overwhelming their abilities truly are.

This ranking places 24 major fighters from weakest to strongest based on what we’ve seen in the anime so far, including events up to the first Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Infinity Castle film. Characters are judged based on combat feats, destructive power, speed, durability, and how they would realistically perform in a one-on-one fight.

25. Kyogai

Once a member of the Twelve Kizuki, Kyogai’s Blood Demon Art allows him to manipulate the environment by striking the drums embedded in his body. While his ability is tricky to deal with, his overall strength falls short of most higher-level demons.

24. Rui

Rui was one of the Lower Rank demons and possessed extremely dangerous spider threads capable of slicing through opponents. However, his power still pales in comparison to the Upper Rank demons.

23. Enmu

Enmu’s dream-manipulation ability makes him one of the most dangerous Lower Rank demons in terms of strategy. His control over the Mugen Train made him a difficult opponent until he was ultimately defeated by the combined efforts of Tanjiro and the others.

22. Inosuke Hashibira

Inosuke’s Beast Breathing and unpredictable fighting style make him extremely dangerous in close combat. His flexibility and raw aggression allow him to survive fights that would overwhelm many other demon slayers.

21. Nezuko Kamado

Nezuko’s demonic transformation grants her incredible regeneration and powerful Blood Demon Art flames. As she grows stronger throughout the series, her power becomes comparable to many high-level demons.

20. Daki

As part of Upper Rank Six, Daki wields deadly obi sashes capable of slicing through buildings and capturing victims. However, she relies heavily on her brother Gyutaro to reach her full potential.

19. Kaigaku

A former Demon Slayer who was transformed into a demon and became the replacement Upper Rank Six. Kaigaku uses a corrupted version of Thunder Breathing enhanced by demonic power, creating devastating lightning attacks. Despite his strength, Zenitsu ultimately surpasses him with a new technique of his own.

18. Zenitsu Agatsuma

Zenitsu’s Thunder Breathing techniques are incredibly fast and devastating. While normally timid, when he enters his focused state he becomes one of the quickest fighters in the series.

17. Obanai Iguro

The Serpent Hashira fights with precision and speed, using unpredictable movements to overwhelm opponents. His swordsmanship makes him one of the most skilled Hashira.

16. Shinobu Kocho

Although she lacks the raw strength to decapitate demons, Shinobu compensates with deadly poison techniques. Her speed and intelligence make her an extremely dangerous opponent.

15. Mitsuri Kanroji

The Love Hashira uses a flexible sword and incredible agility to unleash rapid attacks. Her unique fighting style allows her to overwhelm enemies with speed and unpredictability.

14. Sanemi Shinazugawa

The Wind Hashira is one of the most aggressive and physically powerful fighters among the demon slayers. His relentless combat style allows him to battle extremely powerful demons head-on.

13. Tengen Uzui

The Sound Hashira combines incredible speed, dual swords, and explosive techniques. His battle against Upper Rank Six showcased just how powerful and durable he truly is.

12. Gyutaro

Gyutaro, the true power behind Upper Rank Six, uses deadly blood sickles and poison attacks. His resilience and brutality make him a major threat even to Hashira-level fighters.

11. Gyokko

Upper Rank Five possesses terrifying body manipulation abilities and devastating water-based attacks. His bizarre techniques make him extremely difficult to counter.

10. Kyojuro Rengoku

The Flame Hashira demonstrated incredible strength and endurance during the battle aboard the Mugen Train. Even while mortally wounded, he was able to fight Upper Rank Three head-on.

9. Muichiro Tokito

The Mist Hashira is a prodigy whose speed and technique allow him to defeat Upper Rank demons despite his young age.

8. Giyu Tomioka

The Water Hashira’s calm fighting style and powerful defensive techniques make him one of the most reliable fighters in the Demon Slayer Corps.

7. Gyomei Himejima

Widely considered the strongest Hashira physically, Gyomei’s immense strength and weapon mastery make him a terrifying opponent.

6. Hantengu

Upper Rank Four possesses multiple powerful forms that split from his main body, each with unique abilities. This makes him extremely difficult to defeat without identifying the true body.

5. Tanjiro Kamado

4. Akaza

Upper Rank Three is an incredibly powerful martial artist whose Compass Needle ability allows him to read and counter opponents’ movements with frightening accuracy.

3. Doma

Upper Rank Two possesses devastating ice-based Blood Demon Arts and overwhelming speed. His calm demeanor hides a level of power that few fighters can match.

2. Kokushibo

The Upper Rank One demon combines centuries of combat experience with Moon Breathing techniques that produce devastating blade waves. His skill makes him one of the most powerful demons ever created.

1. Muzan Kibutsuji

The progenitor of all demons and the ultimate antagonist of the series. Muzan possesses overwhelming speed, regeneration, and countless deadly abilities that place him above every other character in the series.
