Cartoon All Stars to the Rescue
DRUGS ARE BAD MMMK! Now I remember a time when every kid's hero in the late 80s and early 90s was telling them not to do drugs. I, from time to time, will watch these and laugh, they are corny for the most part, but because they really don't educate you about why pot is bad. They tell you that pot can ruin your life, you'll lose your family, you won't do good in school etc. But for me personally, pot isn't the worse drug on the planet, not by a long shot. Yet people fear it could lead to other drugs. Though I personally never had the need to do hardcore drugs because I've seen it in my life to know better, people have this fear that pot is the gateway drug. While some studies believe this isn't the case, others have seen this happen. Me, I'll just drink wine (the drink that can cause liver damage, totally legal!)

W.T.F. Japan? The Most Bizarre Anime Ever
Because there are so many genres in anime, every story is different. Many are original, some are confusing, but mainly they’re always entertaining. Then you get the shows that make you feel like you’re tripping your balls off or just very, very high… seriously. You can’t tell what the hell’s going on, the colors, the lights, the weird characters, the bizarre plot… These are the shows that make you think, “What the f*%# is this shit?”. You don't know whether to run like hell or keep watching to see if it eventually makes sense.

So I put on the DVD, made us both a cup of tea, and then sat down and watched the first twenty minutes of it with her. The Bachelor Franchise Has a Race Problem
I make no secret of the fact that I’m a proud member of Bachelor Nation. I ignore the haters, the ones that don't understand the show's appeal. The Bachelor and all of its respective spin-offs are my brain candy. When I learned one of my favorite people from the last season of The Bachelor, Rachel Lindsay, had been selected as the new Bachelorette, I was ecstatic! She is a perfect choice. Well-liked by the audience and by the women with whom she competed for Nick Viall’s love, and one of the few people of color on any of the shows to make it to the final three, the show’s producers knew they were capturing lightning in a bottle.

Being a fan of anime series, finding stories about a person sent to another world is no new occurrence. From classics to the recent animes, this kind of action-fantasies caught us in awe, however, most of these stories had become repetitive and mostly predictable. So, what if someone adds a twist in it? Instead of sending helpless teenage boys and girls into a world of magic and chaos, what if we actually get to see some skillful people, masters of their field, who had created history, show off their insane abilities in a different world?

Sliders is a US television series which ran from 1995 to 2000 with seasons 1 to 3 shown originally on Fox, with the show moving to Scifi Channel for the final two seasons. It is a twist on the science-fiction time-travel genre. Instead of travelling through time and space, the principle characters travel across dimensions.

But Can We Still Like the Huxtables?
I’m pretty sure Bill Cosby is guilty, a friend says to me, but can we still like the Huxtables? In a word - no. The Cosby Show was the only show about African-Americans on television for a while when I was a kid. I thought Lisa Bonet was the essence of bohemian cool and wanted to be just like her when I grew up. I had a crush on Malcolm-Jamal Warner, as did every other girl in my class. So, I used to understand when people asked me this question. Years ago, before the number of victims began to rise, topping out at 60 last I counted. Before I discovered a news story from the 1980’s, where Cosby’s own daughter was sexually assaulted by a well-known public figure and Cosby advocated on the perpetrator's behalf, negotiating a deal to get her attacker psychological therapy instead of jail time. By all accounts, he attended one session. I’m sure he’s reformed. Cosby’s daughter was going through a dark time that year and she and her father were estranged. Her father seemed to blame her, at least partially, for the assault, based on his statements.
