Two Bodies, One Spirit
The creature frozen in place lies there on the ground. Breathing slightly, emulating how I felt with the wound in my side. Weak, growing colder by the minute becoming more and more lifeless. I stared into the eyes of the creature, seeing the spark of gold in them now seemed to be fleeting away with every breath that expelled from both of our bodies. I wanted to speak, I wanted to comfort it, for it was obvious that we were connected somehow and knowing that it was in the same pain I was in made me want to take all the pain only onto myself. I wanted to spare this poor creature from the agony, that would lead to a slow death.

7 Abandoned Asylums That Are Definitely Haunted
The abandoned asylum is the quintessential horror movie setting; crumbling buildings where humanity's most helpless members were shut away, abused, neglected, and experimented on. Quite a few of these sites are rumored to be haunted, and honestly, it's not surprising. After all, thousands of people suffered greatly in these places, and some things don't go away when the doors close.

The Shriek
I was sound asleep when I heard it. Underneath my blanket, my ears heightened to a state to where I could hear the drop of a pin a mile away. I wanted to get up but my body wouldn't allow me. I was stiff with fear. What could make such a sound? I couldn't imagine it out of a human or any wildlife nearby. It occurred again, only closer. My body came out of its stiffness, allowing me to get out of the bed. I dashed to the window, opening it all the way. I poked my body out and looked up and down the dark mountain beyond the trees. I waited a minute to hear the shriek again to detect its direction. It didn't come. I closed the window. Even though I didn't know what is was, I changed into my hunting gear and equipped myself with my rifle and handgun.

Most Underrated Horror Films from the 2000s
Not many people love horror films simply because they're terrifying, and that's totally understandable. I personally love horror movies, because I actually enjoy being terrified by the unrealistic monsters and paranormal events as odd as it sounds. Yes, I'm weird that way, but I'm positive so many people can agree with me. And when it actually comes to horror films, us horror lovers are very passionate about the films. Many of us don't settle on a specific type of movie—we enjoy paranormal, slasher, and even monster horror movies.

Traitors/Visitors
Traitors Her eyes rolled back in her head. It was a bad combination, too much too fast. She courted the fine line often, but they’d never seen her like this. They put her in the bath and turned on the cold water. She convulsed, her eyes rolling back in her head. The first thing she saw was their smiles and their camera phones. Traitors! She came around. They told themselves it was just the ecstasy. She told herself she’d be fine. Have another drink darling, I can wait.

Movie Review: 'Winchester' (2018)
Hello, one and all. I often wary of movies that are "based on true stories," or "inspired by true events," if only for the fact that it's just code for "We're just giving you the more bullshit version of a story that is purported to be a true story." That being said, Winchester or the much longer, box-office worthy title: Winchester: The House that Ghosts Built manages to tell an intriguing story that seems to have some root in fact. Fact: the name is indeed synonymous with the iconic rifle and firearm company. Fact: it seems to know the players of that story inside and out. Fact: it was filmed in the actual home where said hauntings and paranormal events had occurred.

The Best Horror Writers of All Time
Horror is one of those genres that's exceedingly difficult to be good at writing. There's a reason why so many horror stories come off as dull, hackneyed, or just too unrealistic—and why the worst horror movies always are laughably bad.
