3 Signs To Show You're Comfortable In Your Relationship
It is no surprise that when we enter a new relationship we try to be the greatest versions of ourselves. We try to give only the best impressions to court our future significant other. It’s only human. However, a few months down the line amidst the talks about future plans and how many puppies you want, there are some façades we just cannot help but drop. Nothing screams love and affection more than casually letting bodily functions do their thing, or letting the leg stubble do the talking after a few days. Here are 3 things to show that your relationship is reaching a new level of comfort, and why it’s nothing to be ashamed of.

Can You Survive a Long Distance Relationship?
Love is hard. False, love is actually very easy. If you think about it, we all have someone in our life that we love. For example, it could be your mother, father, grandparents, aunt or uncle, friends etc, and we don't stop to think about how much we love them, we just do because it's un-conditional. We're brought into the world by our parents and in most cases we learn love from them without any conditions, because they are there for us and they surround us with safety and comfort.

Physically Turned On, Emotionally Switched Off.
So my first blog is going to be about the issues and questions in the book that I’ve just finished reading, and as a sociologist and more importantly, as a single gal in the 21st century, I have found that the book has left me with more questions and slightly less hope for our generation when it comes to sex, love and modern day dating… poopy.

Dating Advice: Are You Too Judgmental or Too Picky?
How would you describe yourself in 3 sentences? Do you think people know the “real you?” With less “face to face” contact due to online dating & social media outlets, people are spending more time behind a computer and becoming even more judgmental than ever before.

What I Learned From Dyeing My Hair Blue
In July of 2016, I went from brunette to having blue, green, and purple “mermaid hair.” I’d wanted to dye it for a while, but had never followed through on it before. Before I did it, many of the adults around me (that weren’t my friends) kept telling me how much I’d regret it and how drastically it would negatively impact my life. I was told that I’d never get respect, that it’d ruin my hair, that I’d miss my old color too much, that it’s only something delinquent teenagers do, and even that having dyed hair would make me want to “fit in to that crowd,” somehow causing me to do things like drugs and other illegal activities. They were all certain that simply changing my hair color would somehow change who I was.

Qualities an Alpha Female Should Look for In a Partner
I've been a dating advice columnist for years, and I've seen a lot of trends involving calling both men and women "Alpha." Truthfully, I'm not a fan of the labels of "Alpha" and "Beta" when it comes to dating advice. It's one of those things that tends to have a lot of connotations that just aren't healthy or good.

Me, My Lover & Anxiety
It is an odd feeling to be in love and feel like the luckiest man on Earth, only for it to be closely watched by the hungry eyes of your own anxiety. It is there constantly, poking and prodding at your brain and wanting you to think that every move your partner makes indicates your world is going to fall spectacularly apart.

How To Buy a Girl a Drink (Without Making It Awkward)
If there's one classic move that guys do at bars, it's buying a girl they're interested a drink as a way to break the ice. It used to be a good way to show that you're a gentleman, and that you want to get to know the woman in question better.

The Impact of Psychological Abuse in Childhood
It happened because both of my parents were abused as children. It happened because they were young, incompatible and immature. It happened because they both had undiagnosed mental health problems about which they were both in a chronic state of denial. It happened because they had two small children, one of whom was severely autistic. It happened for many, many reasons. But the fact is that I was viciously and continuously psychologically abused throughout my childhood and early adult life.

Living with PMDD
When I married my husband, I didn’t realize that I had Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder or PMDD. In fact, I knew I had some kind of monthly dysphoria, but it was never as bad as it seemed to get once we were married. I won’t theorize about that for now because it could be the result of so many things…stress, change, age, etc…but I will say that for some time, my husband thought maybe he had brought it on, and to be perfectly honest, he wasn't helping!
