breakups
When it comes to breakups, pain is inevitable, but Humans thinks that suffering is optional.
12am
I feel quite selfish blaming it on you. But lately I've been losing myself and the only reason I seem to find for this is that you left when I needed you most, you left when I finally started to believe you'd stay forever, you left when I decided I wanted you to stay.

Baggage
My car started to shake and growl in peak hour traffic for the third time that week. Rhythmically it would crescendo until I was sure it could take no more, and then, thwomp, it would visibly give a little jump and then start its pathetic little process all over again. Growl, crescendo, thwomp. Growl, crescendo, thwomp. Growl, crescendo, thwomp.

One Love.
I have been known in my day to make some humorous, yet insensitive, remarks via social media. Especially those pertaining to women of low moral character and/or those who ease through life without being held accountable etc., grasp my attention today. Though the subject requires attention, I could’ve been more tact in my delivery.

My Relationship With a Psychopath
Dating a psychopath is a very difficult experience to explain. When our relationship began, it felt like he had swept me off my feet. I was so happy to be with him. He wanted to know everything about me, he actually cared about my story. What I didn't realise until it was too late is that he hardly ever told me anything about him. I mean, I didn't even find out his real name until the relationship was basically over.

Salt, Starlight, and Chlorine
She lies in the hammock, legs dangling, toes barely brushing the slightly damp grass; her arms behind her head and her long hair undone and hanging behind her to dry. She has been swimming all day, and she feels deliciously tired and happy. The light from the stars and the brightness of the moon are reflected off the water from the pool, leaving beautiful little ripples of light all over everything.

I See You...
I see you. I've been watching you. The woman at the fun group gathering with her man. You sit by his side under the night sky gears grinding in wonder. Smiling and laughing along with the crowd. Planning. Yeah, I've been watching you since your energy bumped into mine.

An Open Letter to My Ex-Husband. Top Story - August 2017.
When it comes to relationships, we stay with people for all kinds of reasons. Those with children say “stay together for the kids.” Some people stay together because they believe if they separate or divorce, their God will frown upon them. Some people stay out of fear, of their life, of other’s perception, of what could happen to them if they’re on their own. People stay and go for all kinds of reasons, but the reasons are usually so they can find a happier, better life.
