self care
For a healthy mind, body, and soul.
Self-Care
Self-care is one of the hardest things for me. I struggle with it daily. From taking an Ativan when I need it, to not picking at a wound that is trying to heal. It’s all the small things I don't do that add up to the mess I usually am at the end of the day. All because I don't take the time to take care of myself. I'm so worried about everything all the time that I let that worry consume my life.

How To Become A Healthier Version Of Yourself in 2021

"Decompressing The Vessel"
Want to know how important it is to unwind, and have a regular day off, weekly? Well...put yourself in a situation where you'll be chased by a dog, every day, for 6 days straight. On the plus side, *shrugs* you know you'll get your cardio in. I like dogs, in fact...I'm learning to love them a little. I don't think that being chased by them holds the greatest benefit, and after being in that daily routine - sweatin' and screamin' while keeping their teeth off of me, I'd like to...you know...get a chance to stop running.

#selfcaredays
We live in a world where we are constantly bombarded by pictures and videos of out-of-this-world vacations, fantastic facials, marvelous massages, and sensual spa days. We decide 'this is what I want to experience' and we begin to work harder than we ever have before. We break our backs, we take overtime, we take double- and triple- shifts and start saving towards the 'goal'. We become so encased in obtaining the objective that we get to be like Adam Sandler in the movie Click. The blinders are on, but you miss everything around you. You forget to be in the present and live in the moment.

Stress
Stress is such an important variable when it comes to someone's overall health and wellness, it could be the catalyst to someone reaching their goals and finally being alive again, or it could be the push over the edge of sickness. First of all we need to define what stress is. Stress as defined by the National Institute of Mental Health as “How the brain and body respond to any demand.” These demands can be good or bad for the body depending on how effectively managed they are, and can be broken down into two main categories, and they are internal and external stress.
