Kharg Island Bombed: Trump.
Trump's Rantings on His Truth Social Media.

Trump's postings on his social media network, Truth Social, can be flamboyant, over-the-top, dramatic, theatrical, and, dare I say, economical with the truth, making things seem bigger or better than they actually are. Not surprising from a man who thinks all eyes should be on him.
Trump's latest ramblings on Truth Social are about a US attack on Iran's Kharg Island. Kharg Island has been described as the "Crown Jewel" of Iran's economy. 90% of its oil exports leave this terminal. This precious cargo is bound for China, which is dependent on Iranian oil. Other countries are dependent on Iranian oil.
Trump had audiences in mind when he posted his overblown narrative on Truth Social. His first audience was meant for the Iranian leadership. pointing out how vulnerable Kharg Island is. Kharg Island sits in the Persian Gulf near shipping lanes. Trump said he attacked military installations like anti-aircraft defences, radars, a naval base, and other significant targets.
According to some, there were fifteen heavy explosions on the islands. Iran has been targeting international shipping, hitting tankers. One tanker was hit by what was described as an Iranian projectile, and the crew had to abandon ship. Iran has apparently blocked the Straits of Hormuz. Tankers have stopped sailing through this area in case the Iranians attack them. Iran has done this to make life tough for consumers in the West. It's the same policy as Iran striking the oil industries in Gulf countries to create an economic crisis for the West. It's economic warfare because Iran knows it can hurt the US and other Western adversaries that way.
The US said it might escort tankers through the Straits of Hormuz. Whether this has taken place yet or will take place remains to be seen. If so, this will lead to clashes on the high seas between attacking IRGC naval vessels, Iranian anti-ship missiles, drone swarms and US warships and aircraft. It would appear the attack on Kharg Island was to blunt and take out military infrastructure.
The US is rumoured to be sending 2,000-5,000 marines. It has been touted that the US may attempt to capture Kharg Island. So maybe this US attack may have been a preemptive strike to soften up military infrastructure so it does not pose a danger to any Marines landing on the island. We will have to see what happens, as Trump himself often says.
The second audience Trump's message was for the oil industry. As much as it is tempting for Trump to take out the oil installations, he did not. He chose to leave the oil terminals untouched because he was aware that if he had destroyed them, it would create economic chaos in the West. So he spared them.
Economists around the world will be thanking whatever God they pray to that Trump spared the oil terminals. So does that mean Trump is allowing tankers to load up with Iranian oil at Kharg Island and continue on their way to whichever destination they are bound for? Well, from that evidence, yes, for the reasons explained. So that means that Trump is mindful that oil terminals for export must be protected for the sake of the world economy, while military targets, understandably so, are fair game.
So, how is the conflict going? One would have thought that with the massive munitions that America and Israel have thrown down, Iran would be degraded day by day.
Certainly, Iran's Navy, according to Trump, is sitting at the bottom of the Gulf or in the Dena's case (Iranian warship), sitting at the bottom of the sea by Sri Lanka. The air force before the war started was living on borrowed time. It consisted of old American planes, F-14s and old Soviet MiG-29s. Many of them have been modernised. Iran has built its own fighters, but they would be no match for America's or Israel's F-35s or F-22s. Iran had some Yak trainers, but again, no match for their aerial opponents. As evidenced by when an Israeli F-35 shot down an Iranian Russian-supplied Yak. There were or are rumours that Iran and Russia was going to supply Iran with more advanced fighters, but this hasn't happened yet, if ever.
So Iran's Navy is mostly obliterated (if Trump can be believed), and its air force is largely good for nothing. However, Iran uses its inventory of missiles and drones to a large extent. Many get intercepted, but some get through. Doing damage, with injuries and loss of life.
So Iran has not crumbled yet and is still in the war. As for America and Israel, we'll have to see.
