This Is The Truth About The War In Iran Will Make You Think

If you weren't expecting this then you weren't paying attention and don't know how it ties to other things.

As the world sits burning in the early fires of war in Iran and the Middle East is rocked by missle barrages and battle, what happened that took America from an America first approach to things to being involved in another middle eastern war?

For many, that's the question that the history books will explore in ten to 20 years. How did America get drug into another conflict in the middle east so soon after exiting the more than 20 year war we were in with Afghanistan and Iraq? Why would we go down that road again?

The answers are many, depending on who you choose to ask. The truth is far more complicated.

Was It For Oil

Some might ponder the military confrontation in the middle east being for oil. After all, America did just exercise its might in Venezuela when they went in and deposed the Venezuelan dicator, Maduero. The benefit to America was quickly announced, as America was going to receive millions of barrels of oil from the defunct country.

People danced in the streets of Venezuela, much the way they were when the news of the Ayatollah's demise went public. Much the way Venezuelans celebrated Maduero being removed form power, the Ayatollah being eliminated was a source of celebration to the oppressed people of Iran. But not in America.

American's immediately did what they have been known for the past decade. They politicized the event with hate and political posturing, as members of congress immediately took to social media to begin their barrage of "this is illegal, and an unconstitutional use of power" speeches.

From Hakeem Jeffries to Elizabeth Warren, the speeches have all echoed the same message. The message is one of lies. As anyone can see, the President of the United States, in this case Donald Trump, has the authority and the power to utilize the military for limited military engagements without congressional approval.

So, what's it really about? Is it about oil, or freedom? Is there any difference between the two subjects?

First, it's important to understand the difference between oil reserves and oil resources.

Oil Reserves: Reserves are equal to the oil that is both technically and economically feasible to take from teh ground with current technologies and current prices. These are sometimes called the "Proven Reserves."

Oil Resources: Oil Resources represent the amount of oil believed to be found or findable in the Earth's crust. This includes what's currently unreachable by today's standards, due to both economics and accessibility. Resources are far larger than reserves, and often, technological advancements, the rising price of oil, or different regulations can turn resources into reserves.

If we look at the "oil" coming out of Venezuela, it's what's known as heavy or sour crude. It's because the oil is the consistency of a thick paste when it's pulled from the ground. How does it become useful?

Iran's Role

Iran's role in the equation is in the form of condensates and gases as strategic solvents. Without those, the Merey 16 chain would collapse.

This is because of the extremely dense crude coming out of the ground in Venezuela and that it can't flow naturally through pipelines. To make it more marketable, it must be liquefied. This is done by injecting natural gas condensates.

Natural gas condensates are extremely light and volatile byproducts that Iran produces in large quantities at South Pars. South Pars Field is one of the world's largest gas reservoirs.

Condensates act as a solvent and when they are mixed with the Venezuelan extra-heavy crude, they disrupt the product on a molecular level, which helps to drastically reduce viscosity and allows the product to be shipped through to the main heavy-crude processing facility.

IRAN had been supplying approximately 66,000 barrels of condensate in exchange for Merey 16.

There's the connection, and based on the fact that we took Venezuela's leader out, and then inserted ourselves into the picture, and our long standing diplomatic friction with Iran, it's easier to see.

Yes, the Ayatollah was a dictator, and responsible for thousands of deaths just this year. But, it's not the first time that the iron fist of the Iranian leadership has been used without the United States participating in an all out assault of the country. And while things have been building for a number of years, since Iran's proxy soldiers attacked Israel, one can only stop and ask, why now?

Is the timing coincidental? Many will say no. What do you think?

When you take into account that current known reserves are expected to last no more than 50 years, and the excessive regulations on domestic production and leases on federal lands, fighting for control of different paths to oil feels like the start of the wars that will someday be called the "Energy Wars."

Takeaways

It's long past time to pay attention to what the big orange leader is doing, and why it fits with the rest of the world.

From the moment 2026 began, there's been a sense of doom and dread about the world that is unmatched in the modern era. We began the year with the celebrations in Venezuela as we liberated its people from Madeura and his tyranical regime. And it's been an ugly year internationally.

Now, just a short time later, we liberated the world from the fear and terror of the Ayatollah. But, only a few were surprised. The war with IRAN has been coming for years. Since the Obama administration capitulated to the Iranians, returning over a billion dollars, and authorizing the transfer of nuclear materials to the regime.

Have we been merely kicking the ball to the next player for these many years, or was this forseeable.

IRAN, Venezuela, China, Russia...oh my. That's an interesting quartet of influence that was creeping into our area of the world. And what do they all have in common?

They are all countries that either produce, extract, or distribute oil to one another and the rest of the world depends on them and their oil. From Russia to the fields in Saudi Arabia, oil is the life's blood of the planet. To assume that oil doesn't play a part in what we're seeing is both lazy, and neolithically incompetent.

Much like the last wars we've fought, there's always a bottom line.
