Cause Then Complain
Cause Then Complain Blame everyone except yourself. This is a favourite ploy of politicians on all sides of the debate. Policies they supported while in power, have disadvantages that come to be noticed after they have left office and they suddenly become critics of that policy. Presumably, in the hope that the electorate have short memories or maybe because they themselves have selective amnesia.

A Watershed Year
As with the coming of spring, there should be renewed hope that all things blossom by the warmth of the sun. Yet, the clouds of uncertainty hang heavily overhead. We find ourselves being led by a Banana Republic wanna-be dictator. It is without question that the American public were conned by a charlatan who is nothing more than an narcissistic egomaniac with delusions of grandeur. Trump has made a mockery of the office of the Presidency. Not to mention has turned the United States upside down with his rendition of public office. Still, we have members of Congress that are incapable of recognizing how really dangerous President Trump is.

We're Getting Too Informed
Back in December, a group of five people, who were not elected, voted 3-2 to end net neutrality. The obvious reason for this was for the internet service providers (A.KA. "donors") to make more money, but one of the many major downsides of this is these companies getting to control the information that goes to the public.

Race - A Four Letter Word
It is used to proclaim moral superiority over the object of this epithet with variations like racist, racism, white supremacy etc. and is most often used to defend the indefensible. It is used to end discussion of the need to control immigration, for example, since there is no logical reason to yield a nation’s sovereignty.

Why We All Step Back From Politics
“Politicians care only about progressing their own power not helping the people they jovially serve.” You’re walking into McDonald's, contemplating your order. You’re feeling for some beef right now. There are multiple tills open but you walk up to till 4.

The American Nightmare
“It seems that many Americans covet the easy road to the Dream and in the process undercut the core values that established the Dream in the first place” (Warshauer). Due to the lack of respect for the morals on which the American Dream is founded, it is impossible to achieve. The notion of economic and social success is an illusion which has denied the reality of American life for the greater majority of Americans. Moreover, the United States’ economy is experiencing the worst crisis since the Great Depression, and it is directly correlated with the public opinion of the American Dream. A sense of entitlement is causing a decline in work effort while creating an inability to be satisfied with what one has already obtained. Americans are too slothful and unmotivated to apply themselves fully to succeeding. These factors contribute to the newfound impossibility of the American Dream.

Goodbye Scotland: Westminster Coup Against Holyrood Exposed?
The Ferret checked Nicola Sturgeon’s claim of a Brexit power grab in July 2017 and said they were half true. While respecting the impartiality and quality of their fact check and the information they had at the time, it seems to have been over trusting of the Westminster government.

Voter Angst and Political Ideology
President Franklin Roosevelt created "The National Welfare System" as a short-term program to provide work relief for millions of unemployed Americans following the Great Depression. Over the years it was expanded to include public assistance programs, which were embraced by "both political parties although conservatives began denying the fact during Ronald Reagan's tenure as president when the Republican ideology moved more to the right.

The Push for Single Payer
To not cover everybody automatically at birth is like denying citizenship to babies born in the United States from foreign parents. Our current atmosphere is not conducive to even contemplating single payer. As someone who wants to go to law school to become a health care reform activist, I’m still puzzled by why we haven’t thought of single payer yet. What single payer actually means is that all medical care that is considered necessary medical care is covered. This doesn’t mean plastic surgery but it means anything considered life-saving. We just can’t be like Canada, Spain, or South America. The United States healthcare crisis makes us one of “those types of countries” right? We make all our citizens pay for health care. They go broke trying to take care of themselves, often not having a job for months at a time.

Equality and the Law
Equality and Law I see many calls for equality and I fully support the idea that any given amount of time, effort, skill, success, training, ability and application, should have one reward regardless of who is performing the work and expending the effort. All people should also be equal in Law.

Coverup
They have always said that history repeats. As the United States continues to fall into disgrace with Trumpism being the order of the day it should come to no surprise to begin to see the similarities of what took place in Germany in the 1930s and what is taking place today. By order or decree Trump and the Republicans have already set in motion and by design directives that will be one of the most insidious objectives our government has planned in our nations history.
