Memory Snapshot: An Inconvenient Time For Sausage and Sex
Memory Snapshot: Inconvenient time for sausage and sex The energy on January 18, 2025 felt strange. No one in the department knew it, but it was the anniversary of my company’s start date. I celebrate it every year because I’ll always be proud that I went a different path than traditional. I was scheduled for one demo in meat department from 11-3 during the store’s tasting event. As I rolled my stand over to the product area, Elias stood there leveling lunch meat and cheese. I really didn’t want to say hi but because friendliness is basically my default setting, I did without thought. Plus, he was already looking at me as if he was waiting for me to break the ice.

My Last Story on Vocal Media
A new article came out about new changes coming to vocal. A lot of them were great rules and warranted rules. AI is taking over the art world and we need to get back to the simplicity of writing for ourselves again. Paying those who earn it is a must and a priority. However, I will not be able to pay the way to earn. I am a free user and will not be continuing on this site if I won't be getting paid because I can't pay. I wasn't just here for the payout, but man was it nice. I liked seeing that I was getting paid for my writing. Like I was actually an author. Big LOL on my part. I just can't afford to pay, so out the door I go.

The Rise of Decentralized Social Media and What It Means for Content Creators
For most of the past two decades, a small number of centralized platforms have dominated the social media landscape. Companies like Facebook, Instagram, X (formerly Twitter), and TikTok built massive ecosystems that attracted billions of users, but they did so under a model where the platform holds ultimate control over content, data, and revenue distribution. Creators who poured time and energy into building audiences on these platforms often found themselves at the mercy of opaque algorithms, sudden policy changes, and revenue-sharing structures that heavily favored the platform itself.

The Forgotten Wars That Changed the World
History is often told through the stories of famous wars. Names like the First World War, the Second World War, and the Napoleonic Wars dominate textbooks, documentaries, and public memory. Yet the truth is that many lesser-known conflicts quietly reshaped the world just as dramatically. These wars may not always appear in school lessons, but their consequences still influence modern borders, political systems, and global power structures.

The Two Years Since I was expelled for Protesting the Palestinian Genocide
Ran into one of the women that was on the conduct board that kicked me out of UT. Didn't know how big the wound was til I felt it split open right then at that moment. I was in honors. I was a great sociologist. I was beloved by my professors. I wanted to be like them, get a doctorate and all that. I had something I love, I had a purpose

What Makes Orchard Road Singapore’s Ultimate Shopping Playground
In the heart of Singapore, Orchard Road functions as far more than a retail strip. It is a cultural artery where commerce, lifestyle, and global influence converge. Stretching over two kilometres, Orchard Road concentrates the city’s appetite for style, efficiency, and constant movement into a single, unmistakable "zone". For visitors, it offers immediate immersion into Singapore’s urban rhythm. For locals, it remains a familiar yet ever-evolving playground. Its enduring appeal lies in its ability to feel current at all hours, never fully powering down, never losing relevance.
