Cross Country Team Gets out of the Gate at Byram Hills
Please see tip, pledge and subscribe buttons below. On Tuesday September 10, Somers traveled to Byram Hills High School for the first dual meet of the season and banking off Exit 3 of 684 turned out to be a bit of a prelude for the run. “I wasn’t really into all the sharp turns on the course,” said Mia Sandolo. But she still managed a third place finish, and her teammate did the race one better.

2024 Wild Card Series Preview
We made it, folks! A wild MLB season full of history (both good and bad), amazing moments, and jaw-dropping milestones has come to an end. It needed an extra day due to a hurricane, but we reached the finish line. Now, the fun really begins. The Postseason is here! I always love MLB's Postseason; it's always been a sprint to crown a champion. Even with this current format, it's still a sprint--lasting barely over a month.

Tampa Bay Rays Retrospective
Well, another Rays season is officially in the books. For the first time since 2018, the Rays will not be playing in October. It was an up and down season. Some bright spots for sure, but they just couldn't string together enough wins to keep their season alive. Now all that's left to do is rest up and get ready for 2025.

MLB Pennant Race 2024: One More Day
It's not over yet, folks! This day, September 29, 2024, was originally set as the final day of the 2024 regular season. The normal final day schedule was set, with every game starting at nearly the same time, just a few minutes apart. However, Hurricane Helene's rampage in the Southeast forced the last two games of the series between the New York Mets and the Atlanta Braves to be pushed to Monday, September 30, pending the outcome of the original final day's games.

Red Sox Young Talent Casas May Be A Trading Chip
If John Henry remains the same owner he has always been, Red Sox Nation might want to come to terms with the idea that Triston Casas may be one of the major negotiating tactics to use in this upcoming off-season for Boston. With the Red Sox finishing a season in which young talent is still developing, they failed to lack the experience needed to make the playoffs for the third year in a row.

American League's 2024 Postseason Field Completed
There is always something epic about the final weekend of the MLB season. The obvious reason is because it ends a very long journey; 162 games to determine who becomes part of a very small postseason field. Normally, the days and games are quite linear in the final three days--the antepenultimate day is Game 160, the penultimate day is Game 161, and of course, the final day is Game 162. However, Hurricane Helene caused a bit of a monkey wrench in the end of the season, as a pair of games between the New York Mets and the Atlanta Braves have been pushed back into a doubleheader planned for Monday, September 30.

Phillies' Postseason Streak Continues with Division Title
You know, a small thing that fascinates me: I do love that out of all of the MLB teams who wear red, it's the Philadelphia Phillies who use the "Hunt for Red October" title to describe their postseason push. I think they're the only "red" team who do this. I want to say I remember the Angels doing this during their 2002 run, but I don't think so. So yeah, the Phillies are on quite a streak, and to think, it all started with the team firing Joe Girardi during the middle of the 2022 season.
